Terms of service

These Terms govern your use of the Sonsie website and your purchase of products from us. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Returns Policy.

Eligibility and acceptable use

You must have legal capacity to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction. You may not use the site for unlawful, fraudulent or abusive activity, interfere with its security or operation, or infringe the rights of Sonsie or any other person.

Product information

We aim to describe and photograph products accurately. Colours and scale can vary between screens. Product specifications, availability and packaging may change where the change does not materially reduce the product’s quality or your mandatory rights. If we discover a material error after you order, we will contact you and offer the appropriate choice or remedy.

Orders, prices and payment

An order is an offer to purchase. We may decline or cancel an order before dispatch where a product is unavailable, payment is not authorised, information appears incorrect, fraud is suspected or fulfilment would be unlawful. If payment has been taken for a cancelled order, it will be refunded to the original payment method.

Prices and available payment methods are shown at checkout. Import duties, taxes and carrier charges are handled as stated in our Shipping Policy. You are responsible for providing accurate billing, delivery and contact information.

Personalised message cards

Where you ask Sonsie to handwrite a message, you are responsible for the wording you submit and confirm that it does not infringe rights, contain unlawful material or expose another person’s sensitive information without permission. We may decline content that is unlawful, threatening, discriminatory or otherwise inappropriate. Formatting and line breaks may be adjusted to fit the A5 card while preserving the submitted wording as reasonably possible.

Shipping, returns and consumer rights

Dispatch, delivery, returns and refund arrangements are set out in our Shipping Policy and Returns Policy. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or replaces a right or remedy that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.

Intellectual property

The Sonsie name, logo, designs, photographs, copy and site content are owned by or licensed to Sonsie. You may use the site for personal shopping only. No content may be copied, reproduced, sold or commercially exploited without prior written permission, except as allowed by law.

Third-party services

Payments, delivery and some site functions are provided by third parties. Their own terms may apply. Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience and do not amount to an endorsement.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sonsie is not liable for indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited, including mandatory consumer rights.

Changes and governing law

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version displayed when you place an order applies to that order unless a mandatory law requires otherwise. These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong, without limiting mandatory rights available to a consumer in the place of delivery.
